Mark Twain brings you the news
Today’s news on guardian.co.uk:
Bank shares finished dramatically lower, with RBS – almost 70% owned by the taxpayer after yesterday’s announcement – down by 65%
and Lloyds HBOS suffering a 33% loss. Barclays, which lost a quarter of its value on Friday, fell a further 10%.
One century-old lessons still unlearned:
A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain. (Mark Twain)
Can we make it to the other side ?

My version

Riddle of the day
You can have me but cannot hold me;
Gain me and quickly lose me.
If treated with care I can be great,
And if betrayed I will break.
What am I?
Could it be … Agile ?? No, but was close enough. It turned out to be Trust.
Fighting procrastination? Practice turning off TV…

The issue with watching TV is that it’s so hard to timebox. If you never had any difficulty in timeboxing TV time, congratulations, skip this entry now.
For the rest, great advice comes from one of my favourite comics:

Why do we watch TV in the first place?

It’s great though, because it helps us make informed decisions…

You don’t have to worry about any side effects, watching TV is 100% healthy and does miracles to your social life:
…and it’s so much fun to rewatch something you have already seen…

But wait! What’s that smell?

Could it be more fun doing something else?

Just for one day, if you have enough courage, try do the unthinkable… turn-it-off … I wonder what could happen?

Good luck! Let us know how you’re doing.
